Report on "The 4th forum on technical innovation in quality engineering"
"The 4th forum on technical innovation in quality engineering" hosted by JSA was held at the Ota-ku industry plaza in Tokyo on February 18, 2011.
This forum subtitled "Practical use of quality engineering to manufacturer" featured presentations on case studies. Participants were interested in those case studies and thought some case would be applicable to their own companies. Information exchange was made between presenters and participants actively in Q&A and discussion session after presentations. Especially on "Applying quality engineering to professional press techniques increased productivity 15 times" presented by Mr. Katsutoshi Mastuura, President of Matsuura Machinery Corporation chosen by The Small and Medium Enterprise Agency as one of the 300 small and Medium size manufactures that promote Japanese technical innovation, questions like "What is the effective way to introduce quality engineering ?" were asked by the floor. After this forum, JSA got a lot of feedback such as "Since I have understood effectiveness of quality engineering, I would like to try it for our company to survive in the business."
